i replaced one of my 4 ply silicone couplers with a HD special when i was in a pinch once and have still not seen any problems with it. been like 6 months was boosting 17psi

They work good one low boost. stronger clamps help.

also adding rubber cement /hairspray or a coat of paint right before putting them together

Or you could weld a bead around the ends of the pipes for the HMT bead roll effect.

i dont have a welder so i covered the pipes with "automotive goo" and they have not popped off yet...

As stated they are in the plumbing section .. I tried them once and blew a hole in one as soon as I hit boost.

I just go to napa and get a foot of 2.5" ID radiator hose. It's like 13$ a foot but You can get 3 couplers out of it.

Fuel filler hose is much thicker and is the same price is I remember correctly.
