Default Holset Turbo?

I have used a garrett 42/48 t3 on my past stock d16z6 hatch setup but now im building up a hatch thats going to be built with vitara and fj rods setup and im looking for a nice turbo that will get me into the 400whp area. I dont know to much about holsets but it seems alot of people are running them and making good power. Which holset would not take to high to spool up and get me in that power range. Or would a Brog warner be better. I have noticed that both these turbos are less expensive than garrett turbos. Thanks for the info

This thread is starting full of fail

But if you research you will find that the 12cm exhaust housing is the most wanted they do also make 9cm for your smaller motor but you better have a good mani to take the HEAT of the backpressure

hx35 or hy35 will flow about 60lb/m, they come with 12 and 9cm exhausts, I run a 12cm on a 3.8L without issues at higher rpms, I imagine that the D wouldnt have much issue with the 9cm.

I ran the H1C with the HY35's 12cm housing. It's fun on a H22

H1C, Hx35, Hy35.

I think Hy35 would be a good choice, with the small 9cm housing as long as you aren't looking for a lot more than 400.
