My only real beef with skylines is the RHD, it just seems totally pointless in the states IMHO....

I too would like to see an budget example of wategate off a twinscroll

good call, the way its done is with a divider that comes very close to seating on the wastegate valve. tricky to setup properly, and if not done well can lose some of the benefits of the twin scroll setup.

when the wastegate is closed, its twin scroll, when it opens, the gases can both flow through it, and backwards towards each other. i have a mate putting one on a sohc 325i setup with an hx35 on it.

hope that helps.

ppl drive lhd yank tanks around the streets of nz because they like them, why not the reverse? its common place across europe where you have various countrys right next to each other with opposite side of the car operation... no big deal really.

sinister, if you didnt bash a brilliant engine for no good reason, i wouldnt call you ignorant, and you wouldnt get upset and say things like "---- you annoy me" etc. skylines are just another car. like all others. they have rwd (good) and 6 pots with a short stroke (good) and some come boosted (good) this particular example has a gearbox strong enough to launch all day hard as you like forever. the smallest shittiest diff you can get in em is 7.5" and i beat on one of those solidly for a whole year and then sold it later with no excess wear and tear. this model will have the 8" unit that most rwd nissans get. pretty solid setup for overall performance if you ask me.

Not just in this thread, in every thread you're anoying. I just made a stupid jab at the engine since I'm so used to workking with > 1.8 liters, therefore you should fist yourself. I've already been talking to the kid on aim, sounds like as soon as he gets his hands on one of these turbo's it'll get the ball rolling.

H1C is pretty much the same as HX, just older with a less efficient wheel. They both still come in a few sizes.

so have i been talking to him on aim/msn and what?

by your screen name and sig and honda picture, it would seen that you were used to working with <2.0 litres (watch your r and e) therefore you perhaps should indulge in what you suggested...

the hx chargers are cheap enough, no reason to go backward to an old inefficient design.

dont worry about the fiestiness thats apparent around these forums, its only 10% of the membership making 90% of the bad smell...
