hmt fuel injector cleaning !!!!!!!!!!!!! bitchass getto style
ok so i went to the salvage yard for my weekly stroll and didnt find 450's like i was looking for. so i headed over to a buddies house knowing that he had some sitting on his front porch from his disassembled 4g project. it sat out side for a while here and there. so i grabbed up the 450's like i was looking for and headed home. put them in my car and nothing just cranks and cranks and cranks. wtf !!!! so i took the injectors out of the intake manifold but left them in the fuel rail and turned the car over and what is this i see ?? only one is working so i take them out and have an idea. i'll boil these fuckers !! if there already broke there broke so i got nothing to loose. so i get a little sauce pan with water
i fill it just enuff to cover up to the blue plastic part of the injector. (i cleaned up just for you guys) http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/5226/pc040009hp7.jpg http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/2453/pc040010jq2.jpg then i set the three that were not working around the out side of the pan http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/2396/pc040011zn7.jpg then i turn the heat lower so it isnt directly under the injectors http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/4853/pc040015dd2.jpg i boiled them standing up for 15 mins then i tipped them over on there sides and let them boil for 5 more http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5294/pc040016st9.jpg put them pack in the fuel rail and now they all worked but one. so i just want threw the process again then it worked. so now i got all 4 injectors working perfectly and now its time to up the boost ;D |

should at least replace the screens, IIRC they are something like $1 each.

Dude, cleaning injectors should not be your first priority. Cleaning that ------- stove should be. You're gonna be getting some HMT cockroaches up in your ---- pretty soon, and the rats will follow

Re: hmt fuel injector cleaning !!!!!!!!!!!!! bitchass getto style
those weren't my injectors, but another members at miataturbo.net. I sent mine there a few weeks ago. $17 an injectors plus $8 shipping.
I bought mine for $45 off someone at rx7club.com, i started running into fueling problems and suspected i may have a slow leaking injector...it would backfire on startup after sitting overnight. turned out it was the fpr, but it was good insurance non-the-less. i think autozone and places like that sell all the parts to rebuild, the screens, 0-rings, pintle caps, and grommets. they also sell compressed cans of some cleaners that you spary directly through them, it's like $20 or something, do a google search. Other than pulses and flowing them, you can do it on the cheap. I do have one that flowed poorly, but the end result is nice: http://www.boostedmiata.com/random/injector_flow.jpg |
