hmt fuel injector cleaning !!!!!!!!!!!!! bitchass getto style
ok so i went to the salvage yard for my weekly stroll and didnt find 450's like i was looking for. so i headed over to a buddies house knowing that he had some sitting on his front porch from his disassembled 4g project. it sat out side for a while here and there. so i grabbed up the 450's like i was looking for and headed home. put them in my car and nothing just cranks and cranks and cranks. wtf !!!! so i took the injectors out of the intake manifold but left them in the fuel rail and turned the car over and what is this i see ?? only one is working so i take them out and have an idea. i'll boil these fuckers !! if there already broke there broke so i got nothing to loose. so i get a little sauce pan with water
i fill it just enuff to cover up to the blue plastic part of the injector. (i cleaned up just for you guys) http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/5226/pc040009hp7.jpg http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/2453/pc040010jq2.jpg then i set the three that were not working around the out side of the pan http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/2396/pc040011zn7.jpg then i turn the heat lower so it isnt directly under the injectors http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/4853/pc040015dd2.jpg i boiled them standing up for 15 mins then i tipped them over on there sides and let them boil for 5 more http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5294/pc040016st9.jpg put them pack in the fuel rail and now they all worked but one. so i just want threw the process again then it worked. so now i got all 4 injectors working perfectly and now its time to up the boost ;D |

should at least replace the screens, IIRC they are something like $1 each.

Dude, cleaning injectors should not be your first priority. Cleaning that ------- stove should be. You're gonna be getting some HMT cockroaches up in your ---- pretty soon, and the rats will follow

how much did that service cost braineack?

Re: hmt fuel injector cleaning !!!!!!!!!!!!! bitchass getto style
those weren't my injectors, but another members at miataturbo.net. I sent mine there a few weeks ago. $17 an injectors plus $8 shipping.
I bought mine for $45 off someone at rx7club.com, i started running into fueling problems and suspected i may have a slow leaking injector...it would backfire on startup after sitting overnight. turned out it was the fpr, but it was good insurance non-the-less. i think autozone and places like that sell all the parts to rebuild, the screens, 0-rings, pintle caps, and grommets. they also sell compressed cans of some cleaners that you spary directly through them, it's like $20 or something, do a google search. Other than pulses and flowing them, you can do it on the cheap. I do have one that flowed poorly, but the end result is nice: http://www.boostedmiata.com/random/injector_flow.jpg |

what's up braineack. Im the guy you lent the taps to, then banned :3 then unbanned :l from miataturbo.
welcome to the site. BAC - I now have AIDS from looking at pictures of your stove. I would go with the brake cleaner + compressed air + battery idea for good measure :y I bet it wouldnt be tough to make an injector cleaning rig..hmmmmmmmm pressurized reservoir of parts cleaner + electric motor that can rapidly actuate injector. I might get bored over the holidays and make one |

We have a small handheld device at work that will pulse an injector 25 or 50 times wethin a second or two. I may have to build some kind of "injector cleaner".

Re: hmt fuel injector cleaning !!!!!!!!!!!!! bitchass getto style
here is how I clean my injectors.
1. Get a 3/8 vacume cap 2. Get a can of fuel injector cleaner 3. Get out your battery charger 4. Get a 2 pair of alligator clips with wire attached to them 5. Put a pin hole size slice into your vac cap 6. Put the straw from your fuel injector cleaner canin the hole about 1/8" 7. Put you straw onto your can 8. Put the vacume cap onto your fuel injector (the side that goes to the fuel rail) 9. Hook the clips up to the batt. charger 10. Now Grab someone to help you out with this part. 11. have someone spray the cleaner while you just tap the alligator clips on your injectors. diy fuel injector cleaning O0 |

Re: hmt fuel injector cleaning !!!!!!!!!!!!! bitchass getto style
well I just keep taping the wires to the injector and keep pumping the cleaner and you will most definatly see the spray pattern get much better after about 10 times of doing this. If it gets real bad I will hit it with injector cleaner and let them sit upright for a hour or two. And then I gp through all the steps I stated above.
