Default Hmmm could this be causing my smoking turbo?

Well i realized that the brass nipple fitting that goes on the 1/2" pipe going into my oil pan had a 3/8" nipple... so i got one with a 1/2" nipple like the rest of the drain line and stuff... could the 3/8" fitting cause me to smoke?

Mine was smoking due to a kinked oil return line

i seriously doubt it. the turbo lets out a small trickle of oil down the dump tube. when i changes my oil return hose to one with a 45deg. bend cause the original one i had on there kinked all i saw was a small trail of oil on the hose that left more than half of the inside of the hose oil free. if you're using something larger than 8nbpt i think for the oil feed then your turbo could be getting too much oil pressure and it's going past the seals. check out the oil line FAQ they have the correct sizes.
