I just changed my oil today and i inspected the area where you hook up the oil feed... looks tight... how am i suppose to do this, take off my intake manifold!!!? no way!

ok so do i hook up my oil line first to the fitting then screw in the fitting? but that seems impossible... i don't know..... is there room to put the line on it after you put whatever fitting on the block?

its in plain sight on my rex from the bottom of my engine bay, i dont have my intake manifold on right now so i'll prob just do it from the top.

 

threaded the nipple to the bspt adapter and when i removed my oil filter i threaded in the bspt/nipple combo. then ran the oil like to a brass t on the firewall for the rest of the feed line and pressure sensor. just don't overtighted the bspt adapter in the block and rip the threads out. it would be better to not tighten it up enough and it leak a little than to overtighten. at least if you know it's not tight enough because it leaks you can always tighten it more later.

 

my friend stripped his out on his d16a6 .. so he just cross threaded a npt in there with a bunch of teflon tape on it, he could of retaped it but the ghetto cross thread has heldup for a few months now.

also retapping might get metal shavings in there.

im just putting mine in tight and then a quarter turn more w/some teflon tape.
