yeah the car must be under load for the bov to go off and make noise. on neutral, don't expect any PSSH!!! This is real life! not the fast and the furious !!

if your blow off goes off like crazy on neutral anyway, it's bad news!! IMO, it means your turbo is twice too small and will probably die on higher RPMS like most factory turbos do.

 

correct this isnt f&f, with your setup you will have to build boost, your not going to build boost by reving it up, drive it down the street half throttle and you'll hear the ricer bird bov

another thing about the ssqv is that its a duel stage bov hence the "sequential " in the name.
@ lower boost levels from 5 to 8 psi my ssqv flutters instead of chirping.
9 to 15 psi the second stage chirps progressivly louder depending on the boost level.
16 to 25 psi the bov makes a very loud *** chirp followed by some fluttering.
some people who run lower boost levels and dont get the chirp try to loosen the bov adjustmant all the way ------- it up......ricers.

 

Okay then that is what I'm going to do. I will take it just down my street and see what happens. I just remember my friends Eclipse GSX, he had the stock turbo with the RFL BOV, and he blew off real nice in neutral. But then again he had a real small turbo, and I'm using the Super 60. I also noticed that the turbo does NOT spool at all when I turn on the car. I have to rev it for the wheel to move. But I guess thats normal too. I'll let you guys know what happens
