Default hi guys quick question about t3 turbo's

hi guys this is my first post im completly new to forums lol. i wanted to know if anyone could tell me what exactly a t3 turbo was? I heard they are fitted to Saab's and Volvo's standard? I can get mt hands on an old Saab 9000 carlson turbo, dont know whether or not it would be a t3. The only number i can remember stamped on the turbo is m27.
Thanks.

t3 refers to the size of the turbo inlet flange. most 4 cylinder applications use a t3 inlet flanged turbo.
