I pulled the valve cover off, this is cake for me because all the bolts but two are snapped apart on it

I need a new head

so how does pulling the valve cover off show you that the pistons arent pitted?

you can usually see carbon damage on the valve tips right?

Even if they are... car is still running perfect, theres no cracks in the cylinder walls (yet).
