Here's a good one 4k-8k RPM in 1/10th second

I am not exactly sure whats going on inside the engine. But I just got my water injection back to working, so I brought the distro forward. It ------- rocks in first and second gear, in fact I'm pushing so much power down that my biggest problem now is my suspension keeping the wheels to the floor :)

I am not having any detonation, that is until I hit the interstate. I was cruising in fourth gear... then suddenly I hit 4k rpm and the car jumped to 8,000 RPM (just above redline). I don't know if this is caused by the timing or if maybe the RPM sensor is getting jacked up.... but jesus christ has anyone else ever seen this happen? I think the motor might actually have been running at this speed, it was hard to tell because I was just losing traction and sliding on the road.

In any event when it cools down I'm retarding again, just hoping someone out there might now a little more about what happens when you go 'beyound TDC" and under boost lol :)

Turned out that the wastegate actuator vacuum hose had been disconnected and I was actually running upwards to 20 psi in boost. SUrprised my motor didn't blow apart.

WOW i am suprised it didn't blow... do you have a boost gauge? what did it say?

holy ---- man! thats ------ crazy! the first night I took my car out with the turbo on I had the wastegate hooked up wrong, and it held 15psi, so can relate to that feeling. glad you didn't blow up.

It got up to about 18 psi before I realized what was going on. And that was only at about 6k RPM moving down the off ramp on the interstate... So I probably was pushing 20 psi yesterday. Slightly pinged, but if one thing went wrong it would have blown entirely.
