so yeah i got home last night driving the car to a friends garage and it had starting problems, finaly got it started to get home ...woke up this morning.. and the car wont start again. i dunno whats fucked?? wont even crank the starter.... the battery is brand new and so is the starter.i changed the cap and rotor on the dist. i re-cleaned all of the grounds and still nothing. so im gonna start testing with the voltmeter and see what i get before i continue with anything else...also...

last night i flipped the carpet back to check the ecu and it doesnt kick any signals driving, letting off gas, boosting up to 4000 or just turning the ignition.

 

Check all of your grounds and fuses one more time. That's wierd that the the starter won't even go now.

 

today after work ill re-check all fuses and grounds again... i got 1 click of the starter yesterday when i turned the ignition after cleaning grounds. would it help to add some grounds.. ive only got whats stock on the car...

 

Jumper cables make great temp ground straps to test things. Run jumper wire to starter solenoid and bypass ign switch

alright so i got the car started.. my new starter was done.. so i took it back and got another and it fired up fine.. i cleaned all of the connectors and grounds but the rev limiter is still there...thats all i need to figure out....

 

Is there launch control on the car?

 

no there isnt any launch control. my tune is turboedit basemap for a d16a6. my friend just helped me street tune it and the only thing that was modified was the fuel curve.

 

Well if it was leaning out under boost at peak VE you would hear the engine ping like a freakin piano Do you get any black smoke out of the tailpipe while it 's bogging, regular or random misfires ??
