Help me out identifying my turbo <nubcake>
I can have the fins fixed and shaft balance for $38, then I'll also need a seal kit. I think I will fix it, get some experience rebuilding turbos while I am at it.
It looks just like a turbo that I pulled off a Volvo recently.
It was mounted the same way to the exhaust manifold, there were bolts through the back of the manifold that threaded into the turbo (made it a pain to remove it at the junkyard
).
But yeah, the one I pulled off was a .42 on the compressor side and a .63 on the hot side. I sent mine into Blaast for a rebuild and he swapped the .63 out for a .48.
Once you get it off the manifold you will notice that it has a funky circular turbine inlet flange.
