thats a funny looking wastegate. at least i think thats what it is.

i have a similar turbo(almost identical) to that one.my turbo is very small,like 40 hot 38 cold and made by garrett.i bolted it up to a mani,slapped on the downpipe for it thats fits in my car(99 civic ex).and yeah that is the wastegate.lol.mine is set at 9 psi.

You get those turbo's alot over here
It's like a external wastegate itnegrated in the tubine housing. I think the part with the plate bolted on is for the downpipe for the wastegate.

I have one of those Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesil!
Very Good Turbos From Garrett.

Audi/Vdub/ bunch of other comps have the same setup but with a different Garrett stamp.

Can anyone tell me what size this turbo is? Also what are the two copper 'tubes/connectors' that are on the intake housing?

cant say for sure but mine on the hotside is 36.I decided not to use this turbo even though i have the full setup.those connectors on the housing need to be connected to the ones on the wastegate with some hoses.I can take a pic of mine to show you but it's just a simple hose connecting them.

Looks to be a .42 inlet .48 exhaust

the hose gets connected like so

as you can see,it's a similar turbo but not exactly the same.
