This is what I have on my stock D16Y8 VAFC hacked:
-TDO4
-FMIC
-turboXS MBC @ 8psi
-Stock FPR
-Stock fuel pump
-Nology wires
-NGK 7 series plugs
-Timing NOT retarded

My hack is set at: 1-4K =-40% and above 4K =-37%. A MIL code 13 (barometric pressure low/high input) would pop up regardless of the RPM besides idle. I was told that the MAP and Barometric sensor is the same sensor with different parameter output. If this is the case, then this code 13 must be affecting my fuel management which I'm not comfortable of. The question is, can I reconfigure my VAFC set-up to get rid of this code? Thanks for your input.

 

oops, I forgot to mention that a set of DSM 450cc with resistor box is included on that set-up

 

i believe youll have to trim up a bit more so the map doesnt get a boost signal..instead of 40 go to 42 and see what happens..or go up a bit all through the range

 

What's a Resistor Box do?

 

oh..the resistor box..ehh...it is a magical device that gives an instant 75 HP..as seen on TV!..it just changes the voltage so you can run DSM injectors..thats about it. you run your injector power wires thru it..i guess you could polish it if you want to..hee he

 

So i would have to get a resistor box if i install the 450cc injectors? does anyone have a pic of the resistor box?

 

just go to the honda dealer and pick a new one up..tell them you need one out of a 91 CRX SI..mine cost 60.00 new..or just buy the inline resisitors for dirt..

 

i thought the S-AFC handles everything? what if i don't use a resistor box?

 

well i didnt try that for fear of messing my ECU up...so i wouldnt if i where you..but im sure someone has tried it though.

 

If you reset the ECU does the code come only at a certain level of boost or as soon as boost builds?
