hi, my name is austin, im from havre montana. i am currently building a turbo motor for my 86 ford escort GT(yea im sure ill be flamed for this). anyways i just wana let everyone know what i have going here. i am currently in the process of building a low compression 1.9 that has been bored .40 over. i have a rs turbo manifold from the uk, a t3 turbo from a chrysler lebaron an intercooler from a probe turbo and an ebay bov. i have more stuff to buy, but this is where i am at. i figured that my car is kinda the definition of a homemade turbo being as how i dont think i have a part that matches any other part. anyways i just wanted to say hello. i have lots of questions to ask, but i need to search and see whats been asked already.

Bolt a stock 2.3T in there. You'll have to cut into the frame rail a little and build an engine mount because the 2.3T is a little longer than the 1.9, but it is a much better engine. :)

what year is your zx2? my buddy had a 98 zx2 that we did some work to, till i wrecked it for him. :3 thanks for checkin it out and the responses. right now im kinda workin on figuring out some of the little technical ----, but im getting there. hope to be boosted by the end of the year O0

im going to start off with a ecu from a merkur xr4ti, but when i decide to boost higher im wanting to run a ms system. still dont completely understand the ms, but i have heard alot of good reviews, and the price is right. im still not dead set on this, and when the time comes i hope to know more about them. glad to see a couple of fords on here.. i know neuspeedscort, hes on one of my other forums.

I've heard some good things about MS. Hope you have some computer skills if you decide to go that route. I have SCT(sctflash.com). Don't know if they offer anything for the earlier escorts though.

i can learn the program once i get it pretty easily..thats not a problem. i just wanna make sure that its a quality system. i got a lot of my questions answered today...by doing a whole lot of research...and i must say this site has helped me greatly. i just need as much feedback on the ms as possible. the grille is from an escort lx, but with the center section cut out.

pimpin car, and good porn too. one prop newb. I think you should keep your exterior how it is though. the photoshop is too 90's rice. Just get a fresh paint job and paint the bumpers the same color, i think you'd be much happier with it and id't look hella tight and clean yo O0

if i do the mustang body kit....its gonna be along way down the road. probably never happen, most people are wanting waaay too much for their stock mustang gt body kits. i plan on painting it while im here at college so i can do it for the cost of paint...i just gotta practice on something before i paint my car. gotta do some body work on it as well. got some hail dents all over the top of the car and it looks like someone took a ball peen hammer to the ps fender and door. ahh well, itll get done someday, right now its all about the motor. i have 90% leakdown in all four cyl's and my average compression is 105. im surprised it even runs still

actually the valve cover says ford...the intake manifold says 1.9 EFI HO so what im being told is that it should say 1.9 EFI HOA, is that correct? i guess im missing something

Make sure that your chrysler turbine is not cracked prior to waste your time drilling it.
you know at worst, standard T3 turbines from the thunderbird and saabs ARE compatible with your chrysler turbo and they have the proper flange.

ive seen it done before...and i would like to do it...but the turbo project is first before any other look pretty mods. the housing is not cracked at all which makes me happy. so ill be drilling it out...what a pain in the ass, but for a broke hoe like me, i gotta go the less expensive way. and thanks for the compliment on my car as well...i dont get very many of those driving an escort
