Default have to use the IAT sensor?

i bought my car with the turbo kit on it and this sensor is just hanging in the bay
as a matter of fact, ive never seen a turbo civic using it in any pics
dont you have to use it?

mine just hangs also with no problems, if you want to use it, you have to extend the wires and put it in the intake to the turbo (between your filter and turbo). so, no, you don't have to use it.

in closed loop mode, the ECU still reads IAT, so techincally you can use it, at WOT it will make no difference, but under partial throttle & closed loop, it is affecting your gas mileage by adjusting fuel & timing according to ambient underhood temperatures and not the actual intake temp

so should i put it in the charge pipe?
or is there something else
im using uber with a stock p28 base till i get my injectors

lol, if you can get it to stay in there without boost blowing it out. if not, put it in the intake for the turbo.

every now and then my ecu will throw the IAT code. and i personally think it runs like ---- when it does. i would install it in the intake, i plan on doing it tomorrow (i just boosted yeaterday )
