Re: H23 turbo 11psi

pretty solid curves, but seems like that turbo is falling off a little. 16g?

mylude 09-17-2007 08:22 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

what turbo?

PoweredT3A6 09-17-2007 08:50 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

somethings wrong...My stock internal JDM d15b Vtec hits 205whp with a t3 50trim on chrome... You should be pushin at least 300.

mylude 09-17-2007 09:02 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

im not pushing it at not just that ur on standalone im on piggy back. and my first dyno was 207hp 216ftq at 6psi. and my turbo its a lot smaller then urs i have a tiny 16g DSM turbo.

Oscar 09-19-2007 12:44 AM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

Ditch that piggyback. It's ----.

With a 16g, you should be making something in the area of 280whp at 11psi, with a tuned ecu.

xternal 09-19-2007 02:20 AM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

I was hoping to see at least 300HP , go get ecu chipped then tune.
Definately got way more potential than that ;)

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

Looks pretty good, but like others said you can definately get more power through tuning. The curves on the dyno graph look real nice and I think the front end of the car looks pimp

thankz, yeah the car is not really done its still missing a few setup. my clutch is still slipping like a dirty hoe haha. but yeah i belive so too that it can sit at 280 but for now im not willing to pay for gas for that much hp hahha.

mylude 09-20-2007 05:36 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

yeah next month il go hondata s300 fully tune. il update u guys when i do.

How are you correcting your cam timing with that headgasket?

mylude 09-21-2007 07:06 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

didnt have too.

klyph 09-21-2007 07:52 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

Things that are required, and things that are a good idea are not the same.
On the other hand, the price on a set of cam gears probably isn't worth the whp you'd gain.

Good Job, but where's the ------ money shot?

how do you put up a post about your turbo setup without a picture of your turbo setup? :1

You'll be getting asked alot of questions soon. I'm looking at boosting my h23a1 in the near future, be prepared for questions. ;)
Glad to see another turbo Lude out there, a 4th gen at that.

That and the 16G are seriously holding you back. You should have 30 whp more at 9 psi if you were running a normal T3/T04E, and were actually tuned.

Still, that's a nice chunk of power, and I bet you're pretty happy nonetheless.

I'm so glad to have a veteran on my side for my build. :P

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

----... I made more than that at 10 psi....with a STOCK F22b1 that had 140k on it and it lasted over a year (I had turned up the boost to 15 when 10 got boring....

Id be dissapointed.

Tune that ---- nig.... ya i used a t3/04e 57 trim.... made 255/260 at 10 psi. BONE STOCK... STock furl system, just dsm 450s....Made 300 with a 3 bar and 880s in it... You should be able to get a bit more power out of that setup. I agree the turbo is holding you back.

T0DA 10-07-2007 10:35 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

I remembered seeing your setup awhile back and hearing how strong it was/how long it lasted. That's option B for when my rings take a ---- in my h23a1.
It will be "just an Accord motor."

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

Oh yes. Also, to the OP, bigdaddyvtec and any other F/H boosted guys out there... Did/do you have any problems keeping your stuff from overheating? Is there room (this will depend on what manifold I use, just asking though...) for a thicker radiator and still have the fans in there?

Tom-Guy 10-08-2007 01:19 AM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

T0DA, I'll call bigdaddyvtec for you when you come to pick up misc turbo swill. He'll have some choice racial slurs for you, will call you ---- you've never heard before. It's great.

Im running a half length radiator with a 12" 1600cfm Puller fan (wired on all the time). NO overheating......, 50/50

JD: That would be swell :8 The usual time???

Using stock radiator and kept my A/C.

I can say my car actually runs cooler at times. I haven't experienced any overheating at all.

Now, all I'm waiting on is an auto to manual conversion, 450cc injectors, and a chipped ecu.

Speakerphone! ;)
Joey I think I've found a second gen DSM mani, was supposedly "sent off to RoadRace Engineering and ported out" is what the kid said/his dad swears by, I will have to see. He wants $60 for it, when most of the guys off of here I found got their's for free. At first it sounded great until he named a price... :l What exactly needs to be done to the manifold to get it to fit, don't the holes need to be bored a little or some bullshit like that to fit on the studs? I can't remember, I was up until 2:30 this morning reading over ----, and match that with a night with no sleep I can't remember a damn thing I read.
I sent Stinky Jared a message the other day, he said he was going to Asheville Hose soon and wanted to know if I would like to tag along, but he hasn't sent anything back. If he doesn't soon then I'll give you a call (unless your number has changed in the last few months I still have it, I'll pm to make sure) and see if you can meet me down there. I have been working to make some extra funds for this ----, I just need to know what to spend it on.

Tom-Guy 10-08-2007 11:07 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

You lose your PS and AC with the DSM manifold rig, I advise getting the ching chong meow casting I steered you towards originally. If you have access to a bandsaw and a MIG you can always make a log for a bargain price, too. For the record, an OEM DSM manifold flows like a polished cow turd regardless of who ported on it... let some DSMtard buy it for $60.

Who has the kitty kat meow SSAC? If Rob has it, get him to send a message my way or call me or something. Find out a price so I'll have it when I need to.

Donald stopped carrying those, and they are not SSAC. Generic chinese ebay casting.

Spun bearings fucked my plan, looks like I get to move onto the F22B1+boost project versus having to wait on the h23 to blow anyway. :S :6

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

Good to see another prelude. I just mine running again with a built f22 running again. Would a ching chong mani let me keep a/c? Thinking about dlitching my log mani

T0DA 10-12-2007 11:58 PM

Re: H23 turbo 11psi

Yeah the f22 is possibly the best engine ever. ;)
I think you should be able to keep your ac and ps, but I guess it depends more on what downpipe size you use. If you're planning on 3" might as well go ahead and get to work ditching ac and ps... From what I've heard it won't all fit. :-\
