Replace the floats with nitrophyl versions. Do not block off the powervalve. Get a boost referenced one instead. ---- a carb enclosure use a bonnet instead. Extend the vent tubes so you don't get fuel pull over. The mallory 4309 fuel pressure regulator has a reference port and works well under boost. You can modify a mechanical pump and it will work but not well. Get a decent electrical pump and call it done. Holley carbs like 6-7 base fuel pressure. Lock the weights in the distributor the vaccuum advance is just that. It cannot retard timing. Lock the weights and set total timing that way.

I agree. This Man speaks the truth... I ran 6 psi with a Holley "Blue pump" and regulator... But agree that a boost reference one is neccessaryas well... I used to run a Holley 830 anuall discharge with the vent tubes extended (just a couple pieces of hose zip tied together at the top-LOL) on my 650 whp 340 mopar mototr in the late 80s when i was a kid... LOL. Id pesonally invest in a MSD adjustable timing box setup, or at least one of some sort... But ya
