i got one of those from the junk yard one time off a 300zx it wasnt laggy for me at on my d16y8 i had a rebuild from blaast and a 2.5" pipe all the way back with a log and had no trouble spooling it at all

yeah you are lucky
that is a datsun z31 turbo. yes, a .63/.60 68 trim turbine (stage1) and 60 trim compressor.
this one is not water cooled. That means, it's one of the oldest z31 T3's. as a mather of fact, it'S still equipped with the obsolete static seal that needs upgrade to a dynamic seal, but regardless, as is, this is a 250 WHP turbo, maybe the best turbo you can possibly find on the used factory market.
With just a bigger compressor swapped-on, fellows from here have reported as much as 355 whp.
Rule of thumb for sizing: you need at least 150 hp n/a to properly spool it up. if your are under 150 hp n/a, then the .48 a/r turbine would probably make you happier with more response at low end.
