well this lady was giving away a 84 turbo 300zx motor so i called her and picked it up last weekend..i was really surprised that she just gave it away free, so :6 :6 to me....it has no shaft play and in not to bad of shape, the only thing broke was the wastegate arm......... i was told it was a T3 60 trim stage 1, but i wanna find out for sure what it is...

exhaust inlet, will have the a/r stamped

compressor outlet, will have the a/r stamped

its garrett, it'll be stamped

Its a 60/63. I had the same 7 bolt turbo.
Pulled nice on the d15 @ the time.

did you have the same wastgate?if so what is the psi of the spring?
im going to put it on my b16crx

Yeah I put that same turbo on a d15b in my rex. I went with an external wg. 7lbs spring.

pulled really well up top. Little laggy down low.


I was going to put that turbo on my b16, but sold the crx with the turbo on it.

I got my t3/t04b s-trim with that ex housing on it, with a nice crack in it :1

I can never remember, I think thats a 60trim t3 though - you'd have to measure the small diameter of the compressor to w/in 1/16" for us to ID it's trim. It should be a stage1 exhaust though.

Seems that its 6.8psi, ran on a car with NO bov, likely was close to overspinning all the time, and may have a coked-up shaft due to no water cooling. It also was on a non-intercooled 3.0L motor, meaning the exhaust probably glowed bright red anytime they boosted for more than an eye blink. Oddly enough, there are still some of the turbos that survived and are ran unbuilt.

I got that same turbo on my 99 si at 10psi making 250hp. works like a champ. Doesn't spool up til around 4000 rpm, but awsome top end.

I had a a very similar setup on my b16 crx. was pretty nice, whats that going on??

what was your hp? and where you using the stock wastgate?

compressor side is a t3 ar60 60 trim ( like super 60 )
blaast sell a lot of those combined to a .48 exhaust side

thats what im running.. 10 psi @ 3000 rpm

remove that actuator
any t3 will bolt straight up to the housing
