Ok imma break this down for myself...
exhaust gas spins the ____ wheel? Which in turn spins the ____ wheel that pushes the air into the intercooler. I think that'll cover it... Then there ar's hmm..

Okay here goes. Your exhaust gases turn the turbine(hot side, .48,.63, and a few more sizes) Which then allows your compressor side to turn (.42, .60, cold side) which sucks the air in and sends it through the charge pipes.
I hope that explains things

Re:Good turbo for B16??
Hatchie,
I got a T3 .60 on cold side and .48 on exhaust side. It fits my application because i want quick spool and not so much high PSI or tons of power up top. I'm planning to run 7-8psi daily on stock B16, and at most 10-12psi. If you want tons of of power up top or at HIGH RPMS above 7k get the .60 on cold and .63 on hot. If you had a T3 .60/.63 and you raced me at a set RPM, you'll pull harder than I will (thats what someone more knowledgable about turbo than me told me)
If you are still confused call up the guy or PM the guy selling the turbos on eBay. Hes a nice guy and will give you the low down on things.
But if you got dough, get the Super 60 from Turbonetics as someone posted up above. Those are the ones you want... but like I said:
T3 .60/.48 - quick spool, more for boost at lower rpm (daily driving)
T3 .60/.63 - a bit slower spool, more for lots of boost at high RPMS i.e. after 7k
Super 60 T3 - very good turbo for b16, but mucho dinero.
I think any of these will work just a matter of what you have in mind and how much HP you want to make... I hope this helps...

Re:Good turbo for B16??
Any of those three will suit you. Whichever one you can get your hands on but if you arent super rich, get either the .60/.48 or the .60/.63. You'll be fine with either one at the psi. Depending on when you want the turbo to be at full spool, you'll have to decide between the .60/.48 or the .60/.63.
