Default Gettin started with the research...

Ok well, I don't know much about turbocharging a vehicle, or well about turbos at all really... so I figure, who better to ask than a site that's dedicated to forced induction? ok first off, I'm runnin a stock b16 from a 2000 si with only a catback exhaust... i picked up some cam gears so when I go FI I can throw those on a dyno tune it... basically my question for all y'all is what type of turbo should I run on stock internals?? I know I can't run more than maybe 8 psi safely... (I stress safely because this is my daily and i need it for work, lol) i dont expect to just pick this stuff up and understand it like i did my drinking habit, but I guess y'all could steer me in the correct direction eh? A buddy of mine was talkin about hookin me up with a T25 , but to frankly honest I have no effin clue what that is e/x that it came off a mitsu... TEACH ME OH TURBO GODS!!!

first off, get used to people being ******** on this site its part of HMT is to be a bitch to newbies..

second the t25 is going to be way to small for your b18, it would be gay

if your just learning i suggest starting with http://www.howstuffworks.com probably the best site to start learning about anything.
then just start searching the web for answer to questions you have, and if your really serious buy the book Maximum Boost By Corky Bell

------ a great come back like the whole soccer prac oh ---- well try searching your engine under forced induction and engine managment with t25 in the search
if you just ask ---- like that you get ---- raped
i would concider a larger turbo so that it wont spool so fast so that you can stay out of boost for the daily driver aspect of your car, not to mention you can make more hp on less psi.

also try to search t3/t4 57 trim or even t3 60-1
youll find a ton of ----
