K so Ive been fixing a bunch of ---- for the past month on this guys car and finally got him off his VAFC and onto a chipped ECU/crome. He finally took my advice and went w/ some 450s but they havent showed up yet. Thing is hes running 10psi on a built b16. Hes had his car back for a week before he contacted me to fix half assed ----. He doesnt really know the specs of everything and everytime Ive tried getting ahold of his builder hes always out to lunch? He just called me about 30mins ago saying hes getting gas mixed w/ his oil and smoke coming out of his valve cover breather port. My first thought was hes running rich but on 390s and a super basic basemap? Any help?

 

Gas in oil, does not sound good.

 

Does he have a ton of piston slap?

 

also be sure to check if the stock fuel pressure regulator is bad. If its bad, it may not be letting any fuel travel back to the tank, therefore flooding the injectors.

 

Problem fixed, tweaked fuel map and dropped boost efficiency to 105% from 120 changed the oil and everything kosher thus far after several hard pulls. Thanx everyone for posting up.

 

Other then the motor now hates you :P
