try getting a controller like a VAFC and set the VTEC point at 1500RPM and see how "good" that feels.

I have a vafc, you cant lower the vtec more than 5000. with turbo you dont need vtec. if you coud keep it on it would make the car boost alot smoother and not spike as much.

My VAFC let me drop my VTEC to 4000 RPM and it really dogs down that low. 5000 to 5500 is the best for it that i have seen (at least where i live less air you know.).

1500 rpm why would you even consider that to be helpful. the profile of a turbo cam has lowlift and vtec has high lift? do you see a problem?

have you ever heard of ericks racing... he uses that kit in his all motor 10.0 second racecar, also a guy from town who is trying to get into 8's uses that kit too. it replaces all of rockers and gives you full time lift.

also have you folks heard of crowers civic type r vtec spec camshaft for the ls motor? another full time vtec cam.

its really not as crazy as you all think.

hmmm.... that's odd, a full time vtec cam on a non vtec engine. everyone knows that there are high lift cams, so if you are building a 600hp race car go for it, if you want it in your daily driver, go for it also, and let us laugh at you.

ctr spec cams are for daily drivers, but they require valve springs and retainers.

and yes I am going to make my civic 600 horsepower some day.... well look at erics racing for instance, he has the same power as jeff does with his b20 vtec. and he's using full time vtec.

I have heard of some rumors about ericks. like he launches at 8000 revs to 14000, between shifts the thing barely drops t0 8000. thats insane. but from what I hear its true.

you know me by now.
