For no-lift to shift you need some sort of switch, it doesn't really matter what kind that sends voltage when the clutch is depressed then program your ems to retard timing alot when at WOT and the cltuch is depressed.

I would gues you should look for a Normally open push button switch, so when you push the clutch and trip the switch it closes. you should be able to get them at radio shack for under a buck.

I love the NLTS feature that I have programmed into my Evo's ecu...I can set my target rpm drop to whatever I want without having to retard any timing in the process, or I could even have it advance a bit if I want. Just make sure you can shift fast and your tranny's like butter...a couple missed shifts and you'll be wishing you shifted the normal way. :P

shifting faster is not the problem, i just dont want to fall out of boost while shifting, plus the cool *** noise that the timing retard does. something like this.

at the end of the vid.

How much boost are you losing when you shift ?

On my 2-3 shift ( Not even at full boost yet on street tires from a 2nd gear roll) I only lost 1 psi according to the log. On the 3-4 shift theres no loss at all.

not sure, new setup is in the works.

i didnt have a problem with my old setup do to a relatively small turbo, but with the new WAY bigger turbo i think ill see some falling out of boost issues. having not to rev really high just to stay in full boost in the next gear is a plus as well.

not saying that its a must but i dont see it hurting anything.
