Default fuel problems related to fmu -----SOHC D16z6

Question:
If you run a Vafc do you need the missinglink?

With 450cc injectors do i need an fmu?

So far i have consistantly thrown codes for Map sensor(3), Fuel system error(43) and vtech silinoide switch(21). (this is my first turbo project would like some input on what could be my problem or problems. any thoughts on the this would Help. i have the fmu, missinglink and 450s on the car now at idle afr are around 14.3, but with normal driving 12.6-13.2 afrs, when i boost and the rpms get to about 3500-4500 throw a code and runs like ----

looks like you're just a little lost on combinations of parts for various setups

setup 1, afc hack
- 450cc injectors
- afc

setup 2, fmu style
- stock injectors
- missing link or check valves

dont combine the two setups.

also for settings on the afc, you can look at www.thermal99.com. these wont be a perfect setting for you necessarily but they are a good start.

i can just hear the FMU rant about to begin,

and 450cc woud not work with a fmu setup, infact i would think it would only make the situtaion worse.
Vafc is way to expensive for what it does and can get a fully tunnable ecu already chipped for 1/2 has much, even less if you do it yourself like i plan. UBERDATA ALL THE WAY!

hey
thanks for the input im gonna run with just useing the 450s and the vafc. my only concern is with out the missinglink in place will the vafc be able to handle the map reading boost? I'm a little unclear about this so i'll keep diggn around till i find some answeres.

thanks again

please read what people post man, you need to pay attention to what these guys are telling you. you do NOT need a missing link with the vafc. Unlike a FMU setup where you WILL need a missing link. the ECU is able to read up to 13-15psi (not sure of exact value) on the stock map sensor, it just needs to be prompted to do so. the vafc intercepts the signals to the ecu and compensates to allow it to run boost.

Standard Honda ECU with Standard Map sensor can read up to 11.4psi without chucking a CEL
