fuel injectors air shroud for performance
I have a 2000 sportage that I have turbocharged. The current injectors I believe are 137cc ones and I need 220cc to start but in the end will need 350 to 400cc. They are air shroud so the bottom is bigger and ones that I have found are to small and will not work in the intake manifold. Has anyone heard of or have info on these type of injectors.

just use your stock injectors and get an extra injector controller. if you purchase larger injectors to replace your stock injectors your going to have to have it tuned which will be the same amount as purchasing an injector controller. the difference is you can keep re-tuning your extra injector controller as you progress in your build where as a tune requires paying someone to re-tune every time you change something.

With megasquirt you can do just about anything. It's awesome!
Are you using Tunerstudio? MS2 or 3?
It's usually better to use one set of injectors that can provide enough fuel with a higher-flow fuel pump (not higher pressure) vs adding a 2nd set of injectors.

a megasquirt is a waste of money for low boost applications. extra injectors is a proven fuel modification. most newer high performance vehicles and motorcycles use secondary injectors. the best thing about extra injectors is you dont have to mess with your stock ecm tune or fuel system which will help with driveability and emissions. its also retuneable if you do upgrades which a stock ecm flash is not without paying for a re-tune every time you do an upgrade. all these are great options but for low boost applications you cant go wrong with an extra injector controller.

I am using the tunestudio with a ms2. The tunestudio is easier. For 200hp I shouldn't need that much but the plan is 250-300 so I will work up to it. if the bottom can take it but the boost needed is high so I don't think I will go that high closer to 225. On the waste of money the mega cost me $400 new, the extra injector controllors are about same cost but there is no room to grow. I set it up with connectors so i can always go back to stock and right now its hooked up but the stock ecu is still running the sportage. Also I can use the mega when the boost goes up. i know that extra injectors have been used in the past but why use it now. On emission controls what is lost? I still have mine hooked up and working. I know if the check engine light is on but i can use the stock pass inspections the change ecus.
