Yeah those 14b's are a little picky. If the return isn't good they'll push past the seals pretty easily. High oil pressure doesn't help especially on 1st start up after a rebuild. Did you prime it correctly? Also, they're meant to be a water and oil cooled turbo. I assume you're running it oil cooled only? I know people run them all the time oil cooled only, but they really don't like it. I'd say it's time to pull it off and send it back to be inspected and see what the damage is. Continuing to run it very well may cause a more extreme failure that'll make it worthless. It's definitely fixable at this point.

well the car hasent really ran more than 15 minutes at idle i havent even pulled it out of my garage yet..ive been trying to get past the oil leaking problem so i can further tune it...i mean when i first started it. it shot right up to 70 psi because i had my valve all the way open then i quickly closed it down to 20 psi so i dont know if it could of leaked past in that amount of time or not...i dont think my oil drain is as good as it should be but im trying to figure out what i can do to better it...and yah it is oil n coolant cooled...and the turbo is practicly brand new with new seals thrust washers the whole works no play at all

i had the same prob with a T25 my return line actually went alittle below the bung and came back up and it smoked bad, i actually angled the turbo alittle maybe 20-25* and used plumbing right angle adapter to get it pretty straight down. Stopped smoking i must have got it just in time b4 i killed the seals. check my post out to see some pics
