Found this in the wrecker
Hey all whats up? It's been a while since I have posted...I had to put the car on hold because I lost my job. But I got a new job, making more money and the car project has once again been started.
Anyways, I found a nice little rare item at the wrecker yesterday. I got myself an intercooler from an 89 Shelby Daytona Turbo Z. The car was so clean.....I was suprised to even see it in a wrecker, it literally looked like it just rolled of the show room floor. Its body and paint were flawless. So....I was the first person to get my hands on the car, and like I said, I got the FMIC. Nice size:
Length = 15"
Height = 7"
Depth = 3"
I got it for a steal too.......$21. I am going to get the inlet and outlet relocated, my current boss can repair radiators and intercooler (We work on turbo diesel cement trucks)
Anyways, here are some pics.

Yeah, it does have some odd charge inlets.....but that is due to the way it sat in the car. The IC did not sit horizontal, it sat vertical. The inlet that curves up, was at the bottom. I myself would prefer not to do any cut or weld....but, it may be hard not too.
I dont know Bizzar, I couldnt say nahhh to a $21 FMIC....especially in that good of condition
