I grabbed an old 1/4" pressure REGULATOR from work. The pressure regulator is like an adjustable orifice controlled on pressure so you have almost no restriction when your pressure is below your setpoint but once the pressure comes to your setpoint it holds it there. A straight orifice will restrict flow (pressure drop) at low pressure and high pressure.

I made my own restrictor from a Homecheepo water line fitting...it's one of those brass tap fittings that tap the cold water copper pipe for a water supply to your fridge (if you have like a built in ice-maker 
). It ends up looking something like the adjustable valve shown in the pics above and cost me about $2 to make 
I usually keep any turbo restricted to 40psi and lower.
