i have a 2001 ford explorer sport trac! dont really find alot of performance upgrades and decided do to the relitively lowerer that normal compression the 4.0l has i decided to try my frst turbo project! any tips or info would be helpful! bottom of the line is i need more power! lifted the truck w/ bigger tires and geared it but still has a ----- *** heart for a motor! anybody out there turbo'd a ford 4.oL? please help!

eec-iv ecu is pretty tunable... you're eec-v as far as i know. there is a writeup on eec-iv on here somewhere i believe

Good job. Bit light on the **** pics, but I guess Kain has spoiled the site recently with his cable internet killing **** posts. I'm just tossing out some possible ideas, but for fuel, you might be able to get away with some 30lb Ford brown top (I think brown tops :1 ) injectors and an FPR to keep things in line, but not sure how that would work with OBDII. That is a bit bigger motor than most on here, so a straight T4 turbo would probably do really well, or something junkyardy like an HX/HY 35 Holset.
