The longest I have seen ANY honda acura motor live under boost (I'm assuming you are thinking around 6-8 psi) with just an FMU is about a year. Not the best idea, take a little more time and get a little better set up. It's worth it, and you'll make more power, safer.

lol, theres a local running a full-race kit with an FMU and he's running about 230 whp (or so goes the story about the car) and he's had that setup for like 2 years ago...

FMU works fine for low boost and will be plenty reliable. You should get a high pressure inline pump to help though.

well the wastegate we got is set at 3.63 PSI. will that be reliabale>? i know it doesnt sound worth it for 3.63 PSI but we just need to get it running and stuff. so will just a FMU get us by for a lil while?

Ya that will work, you need check valves or a missing link for the map sensor if you didnt already know that. 3.6 pounds of boost is seriously weak though i did a kit a while ago and tested it first at that level on the wastegate and it made all the sounds but barely any more power.Make a boost controller and run 5psi at least.

FMU with a timing map that isnt a stock honda 30 degree of madness at wot and a big pump will support alot more than people think

Timing is key

Try running a good fuel map on 450's and stock timing the motor will make it around the block

im DOHC d16a1, with a t3 turbo at 5-6 psi. i had my FMU for a few months, and its been fine. However, im desperatly trying to convert to an electric advanced setip (im vacuum adv)

Its not fun worrying about your engine when you want to push it, not only that, but I bet my car could make more power at the same boost rating if i was able to get tuned.

Oh yeah, I'm daily driven, but most of my miles are in vacuum since i do a lot of freeway driving, but I do like to get on it when I can...turbos sound so damn nice.
