look, on a dyno a stock ___ and stock ___ with a lightened flywheel will have diff fuel curves and diff torq. the stock flywheel will have more torq because torq is roatating mass, trucks (my truck for example) had a 33 lb flywheel, the wheel torq is 152 and the wheel hp is about 115. thats because the roatation of the flywheel is so heavy that well it uses momentem. now with a lighter flywheel you WILL loose torq and you WILL NOT gain hp, your fuel curve will be diff though because you will be able to rev up faster, so basicly your curve will be angled more then stock. The only think you have to worry about with boost and a lightened flywheel would be the flywheel falling apart. the stock one is made out of thick material (steel) and the new one (mine anyways) is made of aluminum. aluminum is alot weaker then steel. if you run to much psi daily (roomers about 22+ psi on a large t4) your flywheel may actualy rip apart. Most of us however dont run 22+ daily so there should be no problem. hope it helps you all with your flywheel questions.

if its lighter could it mean theres less friction on the crankshaft etc with other components, which could mean the the crankshaft and rods can spin faster and more efficientely so wouldnt that mean that the turbo would spool slightly quicker with a lighter one?
