why dont people just go down to the local hardware store and buy some nice flex piping that you can bend anyway you need in a matter of seconds.... rather than trying to work with u bends and a pipe bender? i dont get it..... leaks easlly? or what

I once heard that they did a test and flex pipe and bent pipes gave 8 less hp then nice mandrels, its mainly for air flow. *hp not might seem like a lot, but how much does an exause or intake or headers give? yeah, it can add up.

I used some once.
In a tight area.
It works but as mentioned, it certainly don'T flow as nicely because the inside is ribbed.

i heard it doesnt hold water so its not air tight, but if you coat it with a plastic or silicone adhesive w/ high tensile and temperature tolerances and its good to go.

I found this 3 inch ID industrial rubber tubing that is flexible. I use it on my blower car with 10 psi of boost. The inside of the tubing is smooth and the outside is correogated. It is definately air tight and I've run 10 psi thru it for years. It is not what you would call pretty tho.

i thought because it expands when it sees boost so it does weird things,...

flex pipe makes noises like your grandma's rocking chair. if it doesn't when you install it, it will after a while, so your car will sound like a rocking chair, especially at idle. Other than that...i'm not sure if the joints in a flex pipe would stand up to boost, usually flex pope is used in exhaust, wich is not under much preassure.

Actually I was thinking of using a 90 degree long bend of flex pipe to attach the charge pipe to the I/C in order to help clear my OEM fogs..
I want to keep them!
