first start up after turbo install. smoke coming from manifold.

I just finished installing my turbo kit and when i start it up, white smoke is coming from the manifold, is this suppose to happen?

As in the manifold is leaking from the gaskets/welds or you have handled the manifold with dirty hands and all the ---- that is on it is burning off?

I'm guessing he's talking about the oil from handling the manifold is burning off, we get about 2 of these threads a month.

It's fine, it'll burn off and stop smoking soon.

Oh man! Mine did that too and now the rod is knocking!!! :P lol just ------ with you, its only cause the mani being handled and its all burning off. congrats on the turbo install!
