fireplace mortar to fix a leak?
i know this is extremely ghetto but has anyone had any experience using fireplace motor to fix a leak? I have a leak between my manifold and adaptor plate. It says this stuff is good up to 2000 degrees...but i don't know if it will withstand the pressure. thanks
i tried to make a gasket but there isn't enough surface area between the manifold and plate. The outter edge (towards the radiator) or the manifold just barely goes over the passage in the adaptor plate. If this don't work im just gonna get them welded together.
im suprised...that ***** been working out pretty good so far. i drove my car around for a few hours tonight and no leaks at all. i patched a huge leak with it too. it just baked right on there and is hard as a rock now...damn my car is so ghetto...wish i had a digi camera.
