Those welds look pretty sweet. lol
Another way to pressure test them is to buy a PVC cap that fits inside a coupler, then drill a hole in it and install a valve stem. Then just cap one end of the pipe, and pressurize it and stick it under the water, that way you can tell if there are any leaks.
I just did this to my pipes which I thought were perfect and found about 10 tiny *** pinholes that were impossible to find without doing the pressure test.
I made my boost leak tester for a total of $2.

The way your idle stops bouncing sounds when you take the tps off sounds like you have the tps and map sensor switched-- thatd make it run shitty too. Try it if you haven't already-- they plug right into one another, but if you look real close the right one will snap on properly and the other one just kind of slides on and sits there.
I worked at autozone for a while and a bunch of puerto rican guys pulled up one day in a z6 swapped ef hatch that was revving up and down like crazy and running like ----. The tps and map sensors were switched, fixed that and the idle stabilized a little, but it was running on 3 cylinders. Plugs were fouled from running so rich-- new plugs and all 4 firing now, but shitty idle is back. Turned out that his map sensor was bad (dunno why that would make your idle bounce, but when I switched mine with his, it ran like a dream). Just a thought or two
