Finally on the road, few problems, lots of questions.(UPDated, Pics/Vids Added

Ok, been away from the scene and my car for close to 3 years(moved across the country and had to leave my car there), been working non stop and haven't played with Honda's in years, so i apologize for any dumb questions, i honestly used to know what i was doing haha.

Ok, i've got a 90 Civic Si, b18b, obd0 dizzy and ecu. Running an SVO Mustang Turbo with a cheapo ebay ram style manifold, stock internal wastegate, fmic, turboxs Bov. DSM 450's, oh and custon 2 1/4 downpipe and full exhaust. For fuel management i'm using Turboedit, and i've made own basemap, but it seems to backfire quite a bit, so i tried ng48-PR4tune-19.bin from the Bin directory and that seems smoother but still very rich.

So, as for issues,

1. I'm only getting 5 psi max, with the vac line hooked up to the wastegate i get 4 psi, leaving the wastegate unhooked i figured i should get infinite boost just to see if that was the issue, however i still only get 5 psi. Also, i'm only getting the full 5psi at 5k in second gear.

2. It's running really rich, at idle, and smoking all thru the RPM band, engine alone worked flawlessly before, and a buddy used the turbo for a couple months and it never used oil.

3. I get no power under 5k Rpm, like slower than before the turbo, and even when i'm finally at full boost it's by no means impressive. I assume that the wastegate may be leaking, could this cause the issue, if so could someone explain how a helper spring exactly would be installed?

4. I've got a rs232 adapter with 4 wires for datalogging, when i bought it, it was the thing to use, now all i can seem to find is this nokia cable? Can i still use the adapter that i have, will it work with turboedit, and if so is there a write up somewhere? I've serached here and pgmfi and can't seem to find any luck.

I'm not getting any codes, and i can't go WOT any higher than 2nd gear to test anything as i have no Reg and no insurance and can only zip up and down my subdivision, and don't want to pay for all that until next summer but i'd like to get it finished before winter. If anyone has any ideas that may help me out, or point me in the right direction that would be great. I'll try to get a ton of pics of the setup and post em up when i'm not working so much.

Cliffs,

No low end power
Can't get more than 5psi
Running rich
Doesn't reach full boost till 5k RPM.

No sorry, i mean the seals seem good, it never burned or leaked any oil.

Seems like your wastegate isn't fully closed therefore only allowing the 5psi of boost. Mine came loose and I was getting the same results. As far as no low end power, you're running pig rich and you don't have boost.

Ok, so would a helper spring take care of this issue? If so, how do i hook it up, do i just anchor it on the turbo housing where the actuator bolts on, and then onto the flapper?

Also, can anyone point me in the right direction for install of that rs232 adapter for datalogging?

Make sure your wastegate isn't binding, which it sounds like it might be.

For datalogging, look into one of the USB datalogging cable + header kits from Xenocron.

Check for boost leaks and exhuast leaks ,Their might be a crack in that ebay manifold. An exhuast leak before the turbo will definatly cause it to not build any boost. as for it being rich you have a chip burner ,tune it.
