Re: finally boosted---pics and problems
im using this basemap, jeffsciv23.bin http://www.-------------/bins/index.p...rome/D-Series&
except i changed it for 520cc injectors and the fuel multiplier is set at .46. turbo efficiency is at 180% with 1.25 retard per psi
if someone wants to check this out it'd be cool it is busting out real bad when boost comes on. i'll try to post the actual bin i am running soon, its on the other laptop but i havnt changed the plugs yet
yea its tight
i broke my makeshift oil inlet. i ordered the bolt-on flange so it should be here this week. i hope my ---- is -3an cuz thats what i bought. the nut on the line is 9/16"
no pics of the bumper on. but i think it looks sick. type r lip, fogs, front mount = the hotness
u got a nasty setup my friend. preciate it

Re: finally boosted---pics and problems
all of the lines i have that use a 9/16" wrnech are -4an lines, but all of my lines came from airplanes. planes dont use -3an so i have never come accross it.
did you put the next step coler plugs in? if so make sure the gap is small. a little smaller than stock setting

Re: finally boosted---pics and problems
You should be able to get the oil inlet at a place like Homeboy Depot. "AN" fittings are just 37 degree JIC fittings, aka 'flare' fittings. The common flare fittings will be 37* JIC.
BTW I used the same turbo, which is actually an S-Trim. It should measure 50mm inducer, 70mm exducer. I have an Uberdata map somewhere for that same turbo on the same motor with the same manifold with the same wastegate & 3" exhaust using 780cc injectors. Send me $5 paypal and I'll make it work for you. It will be good for 11psi, and with my 780's it idled like a champ. I even worked out taht weird 2500rpm Uberdata 'twitch' that's usually there.
BTW the map you have sucks. To start, its for a d16y8, meaning 4 degrees less timing everywhere as opposed to what you should run. The exception is the low-cam, where there is a jump from 10ish to 17ish degrees at 3500 rpm. The worst part - there's not enough fuel. For instance my T3 d16z6 with DSM 450's has a fuel value of 1188 at the cell 6k @ 5.7 psi. That BIN is 897 at the cell 6k @ 5.8psi. You have a bigger turbo that I do, and probably a much better exhaust.
In other words, the person who made that "jeffciv23" map should expect his motor to blow up soon, assuming he doesn't sell it from it bucking like a bronco & pinging like crazy. Check your plugs and make sure they don't show massive detonation.

just add two step for consistent boost down much lower.

that small to build boost in neutral. 2 step is another thing though.

---- offfff.....
flooring the gas and finding the redline and lifting immediately is NO DIFFERENT TO RUNNING THROUGH FIRST GEAR INTO THE SAME LIMITER.
whats not good is being at high revs with no load. you can not have your foot down and have no load unless you are bouncing off the limiter...
i didnt say bounce. i said rev to redline and lift. that is no worse for the engine than any other time you hit those revs
also, it generates less heat because of the short time frame.
in summary...
