Default External/Internal wastegate

I have an idea, but I am uncertain. Can someone tell me the benefits of one over the other.

i would say that a external would be more adjustable/versatle(SP). an external would also give u more room down around the turbo. probable have a less chance of boost spike. if the external is located in a good location on the manifold.

true, true, and with these EF engine bays, I'll need all the room I can get :P Never even thought of it that way.

I'm curious as to whether or not there would be some significant performance differences. For example, I am planning on either an external wastegate, or an internal with it's own dump tube.
