sounds like the boost gauge is off to me, 6lbs spring makes 4lbs of boost, 4lb spring makes 2lbs of boost.

are you running stock exhaust? if so , you will boost 4 psi on even if the the spring is 7 lb. try running straight dp.

if its just a very slight warp then hi temp rtv should seal it, but if its really warped its gonna have to be ground down
