Default exhaust leaks

I know that an exhaust leak on the manifold will cause less exhaust pressure for the turbine, but how big of a crack or leak is necessary in order for this to occur? I was having lots of problems spooling my t3 on an h22a but once I took off the manifold, I saw numerous cracks. Here's a pic:

Anyway, I'm having a new manifold made with better material so hopefully I won't have this problem again.

"...spooling my t3 on an h22a..."

even with a small exhaust leak, an h22 should throw some crazy exhaust gasses through a t3

I should post a pic of my first custom manifold, lol
Picture square pipe stock with runners, ughhhh.
Might me ugly, but works.
Hell, look what some OEM's get away with!

hahaha, thanks for the compliments guys! She may not be very pretty but she's got personality? hahah, anyway, I'm getting rid of this one and just cleared the radiator, but my ac lines on the other hand ended up burning to a crisp!!! As for the turbo, I think it's a .48. The t3 has a .60 on the compressor and it's off of a merkur. Again, that's only one of the cracks. It is the biggest crack that almost went entirely around the tube and was 1mm - 2mm in width! Anyway, there were a few more cracks as well, about 5-6 in total! I used mild steel and this was a big mistake for me I guess. My new manifold should be better though. Here's a pic of it's partial construction. The tubing is the exact same as the rev hard manifold. Same stamps and all!!! Hopefully this will appeal to those who have called my old manifold ugly!! hahahaha
