part way threw production they changed the naming of the engines so there is some d15s and ew's(same engines basically) in the 84-87 civic/CRX
Ew-1 Carb'd, 2 Carb'd, 3 FI, 4 FI and 5 FI(jdm)
and D15a1 Carb'd, a2Carb'd and a3 FI
So the EW4 And D15A3 Are the same engine.
