electric oil pump
well i completed my oil pump system the other day. i made my own using an oil pump and a wiper blade motor and actually it works pretty well. its got high and low speed and i get 50 psi on high so i think i'll turn it down. just thought someone might be interested.

I don't know man, is that safe? I don't think those motors are meant for high heat applications. How the hell did you do that anyways?

Re:electric oil pump
it won't recieve much heat cause there is a 5 in long shaft connecting the pump to the motor. i just welded the two together. when school starts i'm going to fabricate all my parts again so everything is perfect.

Re:electric oil pump
first off i'm using an oil cooler and second there is a shaft connecting the two together that is fairly long. theres no way in hell that too much heat will be transfered through the shaft. oh and how am i gonna blow up my motor when the oil system for my engine and the one for my turbo are different at the worst my turbo will go. the way i see it my setup is safer for my engine than anyone elses

Re:electric oil pump
50 PSI is great but what about volume? I dont think that setup is going to flow enough volume to keep your turbo alive. I could be wrong, keep us posted on the outcome. What was the motivation for this? It sounds like more work that running a tap off the sending unit and a return line to me. If your wiper motor locks up while you are driving good bye turbo.
