it would be a good option if your on a budget. but if you can spare some change go for a cast iron tubular manifold. you'll notice alooooooooot of high horse power bseries use cast iron tubular manifolds, topmount or not. heres one for dseries the pretty good PFAB Honda Civic Turbo Manifold T3/T4 D16, ZC SOHC:eBay Motors (item 170378297879 end time Sep-11-09 0883 PDT)

I was looking at that one. Its the same as the go-autoworks log mani. My turbo exits to the passenger side. If I keep it that configuration, the curl of the snail will point my turbo toward the hood using this mani. Im not going to flip the turbo since this is all in an ef and I have limited room as it is. Plus my piping and plumbing are all set up for that configuration. The pictures Ive seen show these particular log manifolds working better with the comp housing toward the passenger side.

I did also notice go-autoworks sells the ebay cast manifold for twice the price but offers a lifetime warranty. The more I look at it, the less I like the WG placement though. How can it control boost when 3 cylinders have a free run to the turbo?

I'm not really worried about a quality log manifold cracking. I had a Hahn racecraft kit back in the day. It came with a log manifold which I don't think was even stainless and I put 30k on it before I sold the car. No problems.

have you thought about clocking the turbo(rotating the housings). also the wastegate is just dumping the excess exhaust needed to keep the turbo at that set psi(anymore exhaust would create a boost creep or spike). if your worried about control, make sure you have a large/quality wastegate. i say 38mm, it would dump quick!
