Holset explains it all.

Nothing wrong with the d15 block, I just knew it would blow if I raised the boost more.
Im looking to go a bit faster now.

BTW was never a fan on Y blocks, but a lot of guys have good luck with them.

The 2 Ive had spun bearings like it was going out of style.

fyi, im not trying to hate or anything. so, whats the story with the holset turbos ? all i know is that they come on cummins engines. im new, sorry.

 

They add a type of vtec found only in the 80's

 

Thats funny. BTW it good to here you got it running. You better hit 300 and give me a ride. So when are you taking it to the track? Should have disconnected the vac line to the waste gate before changing motors .

 

What type of Holset did you bolt to that thing? I thought those things were huge; made for cummins diesels... and 5+ liter trucks...
