Default Dyno'ed the Miata

96 miata
stock internals
14b, homemade piping and manifold and 2.5" exhaust
460cc's
AEM F/IC
12-13ish PSI

Dynomite dyno.

With 15% correction to make it read like a dynojet would have which seems to be the net standard so...

The real question is:

Can you drift it?

I aint tried drifting it much but from what I've been able to come up with is it's no-where near as easy to drift as an S-chassis. It does have an LSD though which is nice

It's pretty damn fun. 14b spools up like a ****. Stock 1.8's dyno at about 105whp.

Did you tune the AEM F/ic? Was it difficult? Great results btw. Got any pics of the finished setup?

yeah I tuned it. A little here, a little there. Wasnt difficult at all. It's a piggyback so basically just put in your injector correction, throw a ton of fuel at it then start taking fuel away where its too rich.

Here's the best recent pic I got. Took it last week when I upgraded to COP.

what kind of ignition was it stock? Did it have a big coil pack like the newer Fords, or a distributor?

Are these new coils the little Denso ones that you can find on most Jap bikes? I always thought that would be cool to do. Cheap, easy, cheap, and compact. Good call. Turbo Miata is baller as hell, by the way.
