alright well, im getting an oil restrictor well im gonna make one, cause i will be upgrading the turbo as soon as i build the bottom end, im ordering gauges, bov, ic, boost controller, ect on friday all i need now is a fmu and find out where im running my oil send line from

Yea he has a boosted accord an said you don't have to.He didnt say it had one built in.I had a bosted f22a1 prelude.Saying it doesn't need one and saying it has one built in are 2 different things.I also told the guy I would run and even if he didnt run one it may or may not do ---- but 3 times I said he has the info let him make his own choice,didnt say he did or he didnt need it.Just said what i would do and its not built in.He also said a 14b was to small which you swore earlier was the perfect size and argued with people about.

Give up.Looks like he made up his mind regardless why don't we act like were older then 17 and leave it at that?




Run your oil lines off the back of the block,with a t fitting(there are other ways but thats the easiest and most common,Mine come off my perma cool oil relocation filter mount on my fender).If I were you I would also look in the classifieds for donalds sticky.I got my bov in like 4 days from him and it works great,and everyone says his 16 dollar gauges are the ----.His black boost controller is a direct turbonetics copy,You could most likely get the bov,boost and oil psi gauge(you don't need an oil gauge,but again I run one in every car I drive hard, boosted or not just incase so its something to consider) and boost controller for under 100 bucks shipped.

I don't know if newer accords are setup like older ones,but if they are you don't need a resistor box if you go with the dsm injector route.

You can go the fmu route,but keep in mind there are still the ecu chipping routes with a civic ecu.Also i would add a walbro 225lph high pressure pump.

thanks 92turbohatch, i didnt even think about resistors on the injectors, i need to go back to the junk yard and pick some up, the fuel pump im gonna look around for, and ive been looking into the filter relocation kit, yeah im gettin donalds gauges bov and flange and boost controller and possabliy intercooler from him, im talking some shops about intercoolers but ill probably go with the one for 80, just go to home depot get some "charge pipes" aka radiator hoses. and put steel brided sleeves on them (dress up), get apexi safc bring it to my shop dyno tune it and be done. untill i need more boost, thats a whole other story.

i said that i thought the 14b was too small. i've rode in a few f22x with 14b or t25, and they both felt ball-less to me. however it has been proven to support a goal of 200-225, dependent on tuning of course.

i've never used a mitsu turbo, or really even inspected it, however in an integra me and a friend did, we didn't use a restrictor either. his turbo and mine are both garretts.

whatever happened to the hmt way? just get the ---- you *need* to do the project. make the upgrades later.

hmt is making stuff, not doing things the stupid, cheap way.

if you're gona do something, do it right. Just do it as cheap as possible.

I guess I got old since I started posting on here, I like to do things ONCE now. Doesn't mean I'm dumping a ton of money into a 10 dollar restrictor (or less for the original one I made).

Also I know it's apples n oranges, but the 14b is capable of a lot more than 200-225 on a DSM....

some kid on cb7tuner made 241.4WHP 241.6WTQ on a safc2, but on 15psi.

and that was on a sohc.

can you imagine the heat it will produce with the dohc, and also how much less effecient its going to be(since the dohc's redline is 6800)

Well, a stock DSM's redline is 7000RPM.

Unless things have changed lately... the accepted 'maximum realistic power' on a DSM for a 14b was 270-280hp (let us not forget the 1g's are runinng 7.8:1 compression though). Obviously that requires some cooling of the charge and racegas Obviously people have made more, but as far as I know they were cars w/nitrous.

One only needs to head over to www.dsmtimes.org and peep all the 14b cars in the 12-10's.
