Who in the hell gets frustrated when they spend money, read tech articles and nothing works like they've been told it would!! What a jackass...I mean c'mon the tech article MUST have said that OBDII plugs don't work with the injectors JUST by cutting out the inner tab on the injector. And ----...the article MUST have stated exactly what injector seals to order. I am so glad I could jump in here and be a total dick to this guy who was taking as much advice as he could only to have it not really work the way he was told....enuf said

ummmm...yeah...shows how much you pay attention...anyways...I wanted to put a title on here that would grab attention to my issue so I could get some resolve. Didn't think that everyone would be a bunch of dick holes. Besides in my original post I never even said that the tech article was wrong. I merely stated that I'm pissed because I was told that DSM injectors practically plug right in with the Y8 which is just not the case. I was told to cut out the inner piece of plastic...not the case....I was told to machine some injector seals...so I ordered stock seals to bore out...no one ever told me I have to order Acura seals. This is why I come here. To get info on how to do ---- right and when I am given inaccurate info and/or not enough info, it is frustrating when you put out money and run into a jam that makes it look like the install won't work.

the thing was that you didnt aska question, you just said they dont work. btw: you dont need acura seals, i used seals out of a 92-95 civic with mine if i remember right, and i wired in dsm plugs (96 civic).

stock seals do work, the injectors do fit right in to the y8 manifold, as long as you have obd0 or obd1 clips wired in to your harness. they'll fit any intake manifold, you just have to have the right clips, if you noticed your obd2 injecotors and clips are rounded on the the front corners and the dsm's are square, that should have made a ligth bulb go off right there ;)

So stock injector seals work? Because my stock seals look nothing like the tech article. Mine are black and only half as wide so the protruding length of the tip of the injectr will be different.

stock seals from certain cars are the right height, maybe not yours. If you want the height to be right, check other cars (like i said, i think 92-95 ones work)

i used the stock seals last time i used the DSM injectors but i sold them with the injectors so now i had to order some more. not one dam auto part store had them in stock so i ordered them and went to pick them up today and the jack ass ordered the stupid O rings instead, so now i have to go back tomorrow and get the right ones.

----, the ones the shop gave me were kinda short looking so i went to the junkyard and picked up some out of a crx and took the plugs also...:FREEBIE: the plugs fit with no mod.
